Ever since we got married, I planned to spend our one year anniversary in Paris, France. It was always a dream to wander the streets of Paris, and I was lucky enough to make it. I don’t even know where to begin… Paris is just something to experience. FRANCE in general is just a sight to see.
Once we landed in CDG, We went straight to our hotel. Going through some of Paris districts were scary, till we made it to Le Marais. Our hotel was called Hotel Original Paris. It was a small hotel like most of the hotels, but 5 stars of course. The hotel had different themes in each room. We were put in the Enchanted Forest theme, and it was beautiful, and definitely one of my favorite rooms. Besides the beautiful room, the hotel itself was located near many cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. Most importantly, we were steps away from the Bastille.
My most favorite part about Paris wasn’t just the sightseeing of all major touristy areas, but the Parisian stores were impeccable. I’ve never splurged the way I did & I’m so happy I did. The sightseeing took a toll on me, because of all the walking, but it was well worth it. Just seeing the Eiffel Tower, let alone being all the way on top of this historic figure was so surreal. So many people don’t know the history behind this wonder, but if you read about all these attractions, You will fall in love with everything just like I did.
Can we just talk about their little cobble stone streets?! I mean, just waking up going to a cafe, and walking through these small streets to go have brunch was amazing to me. The feeling of being in Paris was an overall high. One thing I can say is that Paris was like New York, without the brick buildings and skyscrappers. Paris, is the old town of New York. If you love New York, You will be left speechless in Paris.
We took a train ride to Nice, France. If you haven’t been on a train, you are missing out. Passing through the countryside where you see single family homes and a bunch of farm animals and greenery was incredible! All of the lakes and man-made ponds were so pretty. Once we got to Nice, We stayed at a small hotel called Le Cigales. It was much more roomy and maybe 50 ft to the Mediterranean Sea. We went to the sea and found pebble beaches. It was so hard to swim because your feet would hurt walking on these pebbles, so we were in search for sandy beaches.
The next morning we took a tour to the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Antibes, was the most beautiful of them all. The Prince of Saudi Arabia lives beach front and the only person in all of france to have private beach access. His home was stunning. The beaches in Antibes were made of rich golden sand, and the sea had no movement. The old town in Antibes was filled with people selling hand made items from anything you can think of! I mean if Picasso was walking the streets in Old Town Antibes, that was good enough for me!
Next place we went to visit was Cannes. Cannes was called the “Little Beverly Hills,” and thats exactly what it looked like. The beaches again were sandy beaches with very little movement near the pier. If you want to see a lot of topless woman, go here lol you’ll find at least 15 outta 20 topless. I have never seen so many handsome men and beautiful woman in one area anywhere else.
After Cannes came Eze, St Paul and Provence. These three cities had a bunch of castles and mediveal vibes. The art work and antiques were exquisite. But most of all the views were enchanting. One place that was a great experience was visiting a fragrance lab. This lab was located in St Paul, and it was where all of the perfumes in France are created. The most famous fragrances are made in the oldest machinery, and are kept in gold packaging they have had for years. It was kept this way to keep its value. 4 oz. bottles were sold for 20 euros. You know I had to get some and bring them back. I brought back three boxes! If only you guys can smell these fragrances, they are sooooooo good!
If you go to France and don’t go to Monte Carlo or Monaco, You are missing out. Monte Carlo was rich vibes all the way. Yes, the infamous Monte Carlo Casino, and Hotel was breathtaking. Not only the casino and the hotel, but the cars and boutiques were out of this world. Now, in Monte Carlo they have three categories. These people are set in them by either being a millionaire or a billionaire. You can easily tell by where their boats are. You first pass through the thousand dollar boats, then you pass by the million dollar boats, and last but not least you look up to the billion dollar yachts. Pause* I was just daydreaming for a second…. Basically its either you want their life or YOU WANT THEIR LIFE lol. Now, Monaco is all about the Prince. You see cameras on every single street corner. What you DON’T see is trash or tagging ANYWHERE! This country is probably the only place I’ve seen this clean. Also, for those of you who didn’t know… Monaco is its own Country. We did see the Palace, and the gardens and the incredible cathedrals. Definitely have Monaco on your list of places to visit.
Ahhhhhh my dream of going to Paris came true and I feel so blessed to have seen it all with the love of my life. All this traveling has got me addicted to where I am planning another trip and need to sit and realize that reality is something that I have to get back to lol. Once you start traveling the globe, you don’t want to stop. I guess it feels like getting a tattoo. You right away want another one… or for some of you, lip fillers lol. I can’t explain it. You only live once, Why not see the world. I truly am over dreaming about that huge mansion I don’t need or that fast car I’m tempted to speed with. Don’t get me wrong, I do want my dream home, but I have bigger dreams. I don’t dream to work 24/7 to make house payments for a million dollar home. I dream of seeing things I don’t know exist. And believe me, there are so many places in this world that are magical. Thats my dream; traveling the globe and making the best memories.
Did I forget to mention New York! I mean this was my second time visiting and boy the love I have for that city is crazy. I will try and go back every year, and I don’t think I will ever get sick of it. NY vibes all the way. If I could I’d move there in a heart beat. Ugh I miss it already…
LAST THING! So many of you have asked about my favorite city in France and Paris for sure is the winner. It reminds me of New York, and Its just somewhere to experience. If I had to pick another city it would have to be Antibes. It was beautiful, and the beaches were amazing. Thank you for all of your comments on my instagram and the lovely messages on snapchat!
P.S. Can you guess my second city I’ve been dying to visit! I’ll give you a hint, its part of a whole different country NOT part of Europe… And it reminds me of Tokidoki 😉
